WHO WE ARE...
In the summer of 2007, a small group of friends, who shared a love of hunting and the outdoors, came up with a way to use their passions to give to those in need. Based on the idea that hunters can make a difference in their communities, Hunt 4 Hunger was born. Hunt 4 Hunger strives to educate others on the importance of hunting safety and conservation, while providing enjoyable activities that ultimately provide benefits to local communities.
Every December, the last weekend of deer firearm season, Hunt 4 Hunger sponsors a hunting tournament. This year we are moving the hunting Tournament to January. Two person teams compete in a friendly hunting competition. Prize money is awarded to the top teams. All wild game brought in is donated to the Salvation Army, who in turn distributes it to those less fortunate. All deer are donated to Kansas Hunters feeding the Hungry. Canned goods are donated to local Food Banks. In 2008 Hunt 4 Hunger partnered with Bob and Christine Arndt and Emporia State University to create the Beau Arndt "Love of the Outdoors" Scholarship. Proceeds benefit this scholarship as well as the community in a variety of ways from year to year.
